Dr G RAMACHANDRAN  & HIS VISION

The founder of   the   school   is   the   late   veteran   Gandhian   Desikottama  Dr G Ramachandran who was the Minister of Education Kerala, Founder Vice-Chancellor of Gandhigram Rural University, a Member of the Parliament and the former Chairman of All India Khadi & Village Industries Commission. ‘Viswabharati’, Rabindranath Tagore’s University, in Santhiniketan honoured him with the highest Title; “DESIKOTTAMA” “The Best Teacher” Being an educationist all his life, he wanted to impart his knowledge and experience to the future generation. His dream was to bring up children as “International Citizens”.

His firm belief was that a child trained properly with all sorts of physical, mental and spiritual skills, will certainly blossom out into a world citizen. On leaving the school after finishing grade XII, a student should be a master in academics, athletics & extra-curricular activities irrespective of his socio-political-economic criteria.  Thus, was born Dr GR PUBLIC SCHOOL in 1990, with specific aims & ideals and Sister Mythili  as the First Principal.
